How to Hit £10k a Month with a Home Repair Side Hustle In 30 Days
In 30 days I was able to generate £10,000 in bookings and revenue in an industry I had no experience in.
- Without a website.
- Without making a single sales call.
And I used a methodology that anyone can learn in just a few hours.
Let me explain to you exactly how this came about:
I was with my buddy Luke on his birthday – he made a surprise visit to Italy with his wife.
We’re both busy guys.
Luke is a 6-figure trader and I run a multi million $ marketing agency.
But we decided on a whim to set up a home-repair business in London.
(Because why not? 😛)
Plumbing, electrical work, tiling, painting, carpet installation.
You name it.
We’d do it.
The weekend finished and he headed off back home to Barcelona.
(Oh yeah – neither of us lives in London.)
3-weeks passed and this Facebook post went out:
And again…….
a few DAYS later this post went out:
We’re already pushing past £10k a month incredibly quickly.
100k a month will come within 6 months.
I should mention that Luke also has a full-time job and dedicates 1-2 hours per day to this business (often less).
He does the sales.
I do the backend operations…..
Both of us could probably do it solo if we wished
(But we’ve been friends for over a decade now – so doing it together is way more fun 😛)
And get this….
Luke hasn’t had to make a single phone call to close a deal.
And that’s what I want to share with you today.
Forget Tech startups and trendy apps.
There’s a golden opportunity hidden in plain sight –
Home repairs, a market that people have taken for granted, is quietly minting millionaires.
And Luke is doing it whilst being bang in the middle of Barcelona. Let me briefly explain why there’s so much growth in this market:

I know you’re wondering – well
who does the actual work? 🤔
electricians. We source them from Facebook, Google Maps, LinkedIn, Cold Email (all free to use processes)….
So that means there’s minimal overhead.
And of course – you don’t need to worry about the delivery, the work, the process.
The subcontractors will do all of this for you.
And in any city, there’s an abundance of them—New York City, London, Paris, Dubai, Los Angeles, Sydney, Zurich, Tokyo, Rome, Singapore, Barcelona, and Hong Kong.
It’s just a case of reaching out to them and striking up a relationship; negotiating terms and off you go.
This means the work involved is really about coordination, client relationships and making sure deals come in regularly (all easy when someone’s toilet is leaking!).
The main thing here is that the ENTIRETY of the operations are taken care of for you.
So even though it’s a physical business – you don’t hold any inventory, the overheads are low (as no full-time repairmen are needed) – so you’ve got minimal risk…
Even less than you do have with digital businesses.
Also.
- You don’t need a website.
- You don’t need SEO.
- You don’t need Google ads.
Heck you barely need anything because….
There’s sooooo many leads out there that exist.
And the need and urgency with home repair is always high.
And to access those leads…..
There are platforms that offer those as well!
Lead sources where you can literally get leads for free.
It’s really as simple as that.
Oh –
And the margins are excellent.
On a £700 job you can make £210.
On a £5k job you can make £1500
(Where you charge 30% commission).

And that’s the beautiful thing about home-repair.
A small job such as fitting a TV to a wall….can quickly turn into a big job such as renovating an entire room.
And in case you’re wondering who determines all of this….
You don’t as the handyman provides you with pricing and requirements when they visit the prospect.
Then you add your commission and then pitch it to the prospect!
Simple.
We’re now (40 days in) quoting for jobs that exceed £10,000 in job value (£3k commission to us)…
And discovering things such as installing a carpet…can cost up to £5,000.
That would be £1,500 commission to us.
It gets even crazier than this.
As the requirement before delivering the work is to conduct a site inspection, meaning from a sales perspective – no phone calls are involved.
In fact the repairmen you’ve sub-contracted out are doing 75% of the sale for you!
That’s how Luke has generated £10k in business….without actually having a call with a single prospect.

It’s just all been WhatsApp messages and voicenotes.
So he’ll be out at the skatepark with his kids….messaging clients.
He’ll be waiting in a line for a pizza….closing deals.
Out for a morning walk….buying prospects from the various lead buying portals we use.
It’s too easy.
AND….as I mentioned you can get leads as CHEAP as £1,50 – £5 per lead!
That’s actually what we spent to get Niall in Chiswick, London for an initial £700 job that went well and now has the follow up job of £5,000
Imagine that.
You can buy Ten qualified enquiries per day for £50 or LESS.
Assuming a conversion rate of 30%. That means 3 of them turn into business.

All of the quotes we sent out for business happened entirely over WhatsApp.
No calls, very few emails, and all WhatsApp.

Niall works a full-time job from home….but having his home repaired is critical for him.
No matter what time of year it is.
